§ 5-141. Assumption of responsibility.

The City of Jackson hereby expressly assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the Michigan Building Code related to floodplain management as contained within the Stille-DeRossett-Hale Single State Construction Code Act, Act 230 of Public Acts of 1972, MCL 125.1501 et seq. (state construction code) including all of its references, incorporations, supplements, and appendices and any amendment to the state construction code as may occur from time to time. The city assumes this responsibility for the administration and enforcement of said Act throughout the corporate limits of the City of Jackson.

The building official of the City of Jackson is designated as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the City of Jackson under the state construction code.
