§ 19-7. Peddling.

  • No person shall vend, sell, hawk or peddle within the boundaries of any park, playground, public square, recreational area, including the streets, roads, alleys or parkways thereof, whether on foot or from a stand, vehicle, scooter, wagon, cart or other mode of conveyance, any ice cream, candy, gum, peanuts, popcorn, souvenirs or other confectioneries, or goods, wares and merchandise of any nature whatsoever. A license permit issued by the city for any of the foregoing purposes shall not be deemed operative within the confines of any such park, playground or recreational area. This section shall not prevent the operation of concessions for the foregoing purposes within the confines of Ella W. Sharp Park by or under the direct supervision and control of the trustees of the Ella W. Sharp Park Fund, nor the operation of concessions for such purposes when conducted in any other park, playground or recreational area under the direct supervision and control of the city, or such other agency as may be in control of such park, playground or recreational area.
