§ 17-181. Contempt; punishment; procedure; bail.

  • If any order or injunction granted under the provisions of this section is violated, the Court may summarily try and punish the offender for contempt, and the offender shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment in the Jackson County Jail for not more than ninety (90) days, or by both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court. Such punishment shall be initiated by a motion to show cause supported by affidavit, and the court, if satisfied of the sufficiency thereof, shall immediately issue such orders as are needed to bring the alleged offender before the court for a hearing.
